Our primary focus is to repair and maintain residential HVAC systems. We work on most brands and arrive at your home with a well-stocked vehicle, ready to fix your problem usually on the first visit. We use a straight-forward time based charge plus parts with no hidden fees or other complicated jargon. We now accept most major credit cards and checks and as a courtesy to our returning customers we allow you to pay your bill conveniently online.
Routine maintenance is the most important factor to maintaining the efficiency and long-life of your system. We recommend preventative maintenance annually for furnaces and semi-annually for A/C systems to keep your equipment running and to reduce otherwise unexpected repair costs. It’s very easy to sign up for a reminder for this service. We are currently expanding our maintenance program by offering preventative care contracts to our regular customers. Please call our office for more info.
For the historical home: We take great pride in bringing a customized approach to each home, recognizing the need to uphold the historic integrity of the grand mid-peninsula manors. In the early last century furnaces had been custom built for estates and these homes are not easily retrofitted. In some case retrofitting would destroy the harmonic design of the original architecture. With our 45 years of experience in the industry we can often find a rebuild solution that can often increase efficiency and safety while preserving the home’s unique character.
For the mid-twentieth century and beyond homes: Retrofitting and upgrading to modern, high-efficient systems is often best. We can provide you with greener options for an aware generation and innovative solutions to do our part in reducing our community’s carbon footprint.
Bodnar Heating and Air Conditoning began with Rudy Bodnar, former Westinghouse troubleshooter, who saw a need for a residential air conditioning service company. In 1976 he opened his doors in San Carlos and became well known in the area for his expertise and excellence in service.
In 1983 his son Bruce took over the company and carried on his father’s legacy, over the following decades growing the company into the premier residential service provider on the mid-peninsula today.
Now, Bruce’s son, John is also a member of the team. Together with his father they provide sterling repair and maintenance service, indoor air quality advice and design, and assistance to HVAC installers and general contractors.
Bodnar Heating and Air Conditioning is family owned and operated. Customer privacy is of the upmost important to us. Your information is never given out or sold.
